German at Leeds outreach work in South Africa

Over the last four years, German at Leeds colleagues have been traveling to South Africa to share their understanding of Germany's experience of confronting a traumatic past and questions of guilt and responsibility (the Holocaust...).

This work has resulted in a series of collaborations with museums, NGOs and charities in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

We've also been able to offer opportunities for our undergraduate and postgraduate students to get work experience and international experience.

In a few weeks time, we will be at The Johannesburg Holocaust and Genocide Centre.
